'Reading a book is like re-writing it for yourself. You bring to a novel, anything you read, all your experience of the world. You bring your history and you read it in your own terms.'- Angela Carter

One night. A life-changing decision. And a list... Of course Clare made a list. She creates lists for everything. That's just how she is. But tonight is Clare and Aidan's last night before college and this list will decide their future, together or apart. It takes them on a rollercoaster ride through their past - from the first hello in science class to the first conversation at a pizza joint, their first kiss at the beach and their first dance in a darkened gymnasium - all the way up to tonight. A night of laughs, fresh hurts, last-minute kisses and an inevitable goodbye. But will it be goodbye forever or goodbye for now?
Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between hit me right in the feels. It's the perfect blend of first love and nostalgia; it took me back to the last couple of days before I left for university. Clare and Aiden are so unbelievably sweet. Their wanderings and memories were so beautifully written and so easy to immerse yourself in. It all felt so very real and I found myself really hoping that they'd last the night.

I loved the way this book was written. Each chapter was a different stop throughout their final last night. We get a close look at the memories they've made in various parts of the town. It's such a bitter sweet read, but it's one that I really didn't want to see end. It's a book that will definitely pull at your heart strings and will see yourself taking a trip down to your own teenage/ pre university memories.

This is my second Jennifer E. Smith novel and I'll definitely be reading more. I loved The Geography of You and Me was so beautiful and Hello, Goodbye was equally as moving and relatable. She is so good at writing such three dimensional characters and I'm looking forward to reading more books by her.
