The third and final book in the trilogy. I've been sat on the second chapter for a week now... not liking it!

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished reading Divergent by Veronica Roth. Wow, what a book. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to get my hands on the next one! Eeeeesh, woman has some serious skills, lol! Amazing, amazing, amazing.

  

What do you think you'll read next?

 It'll be a toss up between Maze Runner and Divergent. I've had Roth's book for awhile and recently bought Maze Runner so it's going to be difficult to decide which one!

I'm reading The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa. It has taken awhile to get into it but it will need something drastic to make it into 4* territory. Really disappointing as it sounds amazing on the cover!

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished reading a few books, 13 by Kelley Armstrong and Conspiracy in Death by J. D. Robb. I adored both of them. So sad that the Otherworld series has ended but it was nice to discover another series at the same time :).

  

What do you think you'll read next?

It'll be a toss up between Maze Runner and Divergent. I've had Roth's book for awhile and recently bought Maze Runner so it's going to be difficult to decide which one!

I'm reading 13 by Kelley Armstrong. The finale of the Otherworld series *sob*. I finally made myself read it - I just wasn't ready to accept that this was the end of the series. I didn't really enjoy Spellbound so I thought maybe it would be easy to let go, but so far this book is amazing! Come on Kelley, one more? 

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished reading Two and Twenty Dark Tales. It is a book which I received for review from the ever faithful Net Galley and I absolutely loved it! Some of the stories were a bit eehhh, they just didn't go anywhere, but the majority were incredibly inventive and gave me the spooks! Review to come soon :).

  

What do you think you'll read next?

Conspiracy in Death by J. D. Robb. Me and my Nan made a trip to the fantastic shop; The Works and they now have four books for £5! Heaven! They can move shop more often if they're going to up their bargains haha. My Nan grabbed this book (as well as two other crimes and a Dystopian novel; Maze Runner for me) and gave me this bad boy. It's the 8th in the series so I'm hoping this isn't going to be a 'must-have-read-the-others' kinda book!

I'm reading A Hidden Fire by Elizabeth Hunter. It's a freebie from Amazon and is the group read for a discussion I'm participating in. I'm around 45% of the way through and it really isn't grabbing my attention at all. It should make for an interesting discussion though!

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished reading Fifty Shades Darker by E. L. James. This one surprised me. I felt pained rating the book at a 3/5* as everything within me was screaming that I shouldn't give this book anything slightly positive after my reaaally not liking the first. My inner feminist really wasnt't feeling all that happy. BUT, this one actually had a storyline, it wasn't entirely focused on the smutty scenes. I found that I'd learnt to tune them out and skip on to the next bit. It made for a much more bareable book!

  

What do you think you'll read next?

Something from my ever growing pile of Net Galley to-be-reviewed books. I've been incredibly lazy with them! So I'm going to go with Two and Twenty Dark Tales by Georgia McBride and Michelle Zink.

What are you currently reading?

 I'm currently reading Fifty Shades Darker by E. L. James. I know, I know, I trashed the first book in the series but I couldn't resist finding out more about the elusive Christian Grey. So far I will admit this book is better than the first in the sense that it has an actual story line BUT, the smutty scenes are still irritating, the vocabulary is still very limited and I still cannot stand the figure of Ana Steele. If anyone needs a good shake it's her! Haha.


What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished Kristin Cashore's Fire. I really enjoyed it. Everyone that had spoken of the book said that it was a lot better than Graceling which I loved anyway! So I was really looking forward to reading this. Needless to say, I really did enjoy this book BUT I disagree with it being above Graceling. Out of the two I've read so far, it is still my favourite. Really looking forward to reading Bitterblue and *fingers crossed* she writes more! :)

 

What do you think you'll read next?

Probably 13 by Kelley Armstrong. I think I've been putting it off so long just to prelong the ending of the series. I'm not sure though. The Works book shop has had a sale on recently due to its moving location so I nabbed four books for £3.96 yesterday! Plus my to-review pile is massive. I keep meaning to finish reading George R. R. Martin's series; A Song of Ice and Fire as well but just can't seem to get round to it!

What are you currently reading?

 I'm currently reading Jennifer Selzer and Daniel Huber's Legend of the Chosen. It is a book which I accepted for review - the summary just sounded so, so good, I couldn't resist! Having not long read Gibson's Neuromancer, I was desperate for the sci-fi genre to redeem itself and this sounded like the perfect book :). At the beginning I was a little unsure (part of this could have been my trying to recover from that god-awful book) but I persevered and am so glad of this. Currently at 90% of the way through and am wondering how long I'll have to wait for the next one!



What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished Kristin Cashore's Graceling. I loved, loved, loved, looooooooved it! (read in Carrie Bradshaw style enthusiasm). It was a wonderful book and, even though I have many highly rated books not all allow me to fully immerse myself within the world it portrays. This book managed to that more than successfully and I felt completely disorientated coming out of it. It has made itself ever so comfortably at home on my favourite-books shelf just waiting to be cracked open again :). 5/5*!



 What do you think you'll read next?


Without a shadow of a doubt - Kristin Cashore's Fire. I told you I couldn't get enough of the Seven Kingdoms! I nabbed this off Ebay for £3 and it arrived yesterday so am looking forward to sinking my teeth into it. Many have said that this book is the better out of the first two so I'm eager to see what's going on! The only downside is that I think the alternative cover is so unbelievably beautiful, look at it! How lovely is that? I suppose the one above isn't all that bad ;).

This week is a difficult one as apart from J. R. Ward and J. K Rowling I'm quite patient with waiting for books to come out. There aren't many which make me go HURRRRYYYYY UP! But, I am looking forward to reading a whole different J. K. Rowling in her new book:

It sounds like something completely different. In all honesty, the summary really doesn't blow me away. I'm a little worried that she is going to be a case of Harry Potter and that's it. I really hope I'm proven wrong and that it is just as mind blowing as her previous books. I think we are all eager for our fix of J. K. Rowling after the ending of Harry Potter so *fingers crossssssed*. She is an incredibly talented woman, so I'm holding onto the hope that she will blow us all away once again! :)

So far so good with this book! I am 51% of the way through it and am loving it. When I initially started I had the feeling of oh-no-not-another-dragger but I am soooo happy to be wrong! The introduction of the character of Clea (as quoted above) is what changed it for me I think. I was lucky enough to request and receive this gem to review from Goodreads and will probably have the review up by the end of the week at the pace I'm zooming through it :).
