'Reading a book is like re-writing it for yourself. You bring to a novel, anything you read, all your experience of the world. You bring your history and you read it in your own terms.'- Angela Carter

Showcase Sunday #73

It's Sunday again so we all know that it's time for Showcase Sunday. It's a lovely weekly meme hosted by Vicky over at Books, Biscuits and Tea, and it allows us to show off all the lovely buys this week. I love this meme as it gives a chance for us to show and browse so many books!

So I'm back from London Book Fair and it was so so, so awesome! I've got one hell of a book haul to show you guys and will be posting more on LBF in other posts throughout the week :).

Bought/ Bagged/ Gifted

So this is the result of ARCs at LBF, Waterstones, Foyles and Charity Shops! I got Undone, One Day, Discovery of Witches, The Catcher in the Rye,  Bird Box and Here's Looking at You in brand new condition from charity shops which was such a win! I then bought Warbreaker, Trouble, Black City, Falling Kingdoms and Boys Don't Cry from a collection of Waterstones and Foyles. Ula gifted me Grasshopper Jungle since she wouldn't accept my no at paying me back (thanks hun!). Virgin, The Good Girl, The Pirate's Wish, Red Rising and Little Mercies were gifted from the lovely publishers at LBF, so thank you so much guys! (Hodder, Harlequin and Angry Robot).

I also met Malorie Blackman and got my old copy of Noughts and Crosses signed!

I then came home to these books. A huge thanks to Headline/ Bookbridgr and Isabel Wolff for these!

So that's this weeks haul. What did you guys get? :)

  1. Love that you met Malorie Blackman. Hope you had a great time (seems like you did) and sorry I didn't get to meet you.

  2. Wow so many exciting things! I'm really disappointed I didn't go to LBF this year - I'll definitely have to get a ticket for next year!! Soo many good reads, most of these are on my wishlist/TBR pile. Hope you enjoy all your books and have a good week!
