'Reading a book is like re-writing it for yourself. You bring to a novel, anything you read, all your experience of the world. You bring your history and you read it in your own terms.'- Angela Carter

  1. I have read Hodkin and Tolkien's Hobbit, the rest are still on my TBR along with LotR, which is bad enough by itself! :D
    Happy reading!

  4. I really like The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. It's a book I would definitely recommend. My dad read The Hobbit to me when I was a kid and I remember loving it, but I haven't ever been able to read Tolkien's other books! Please check out my TTT

  8. I actually liked liked the first in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series quite a bit. It was a rather unique fantasy novel. However, I highly recommend The Rithmatist by him as I loved it. My list is here:

  10. I love Rachel Vincent! I have tried (unsuccessfully) to get into The Hobbit, and in the past, I've read lots of Stephen King, but now, he just scares me too much :)

    Great list :)

Thanks for stopping by earlier. Happy reading.

  13. I haven't read quite a few people on this list as well. I should have included Stephanie Perkins on mine, I feel like I need to read her series sometime soon (I think it's a series, isn't it? It features some of the same characters through out the novels but they also work fine on their own so I'm not sure how that would be classed). You definitely need to get on to reading Tolkien, I'd start with The Hobbit because it's definitely the easiest to read and I don't think his work is for everyone, no matter how many people love him. Great list!

  16. I haven't read many of these authors, except: Stephanie Perkins, Libba Bray (listened to Beauty Queens in November and I LOOOOVED it!), Michelle Hodkins (wasn't a fan) and Rachel Vincent.

Stephen King is too scary for me, haha!

  19. Nice list. :D
I've read Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamer and liked it, finished several Stephen King books - so I'm definitely a fan - and there's also my obsession with Middle Earth caused by the Professor Tolkien. I've yet to open a book by other authors on your list, so I guess I should do so in the future. :D
