'Reading a book is like re-writing it for yourself. You bring to a novel, anything you read, all your experience of the world. You bring your history and you read it in your own terms.'- Angela Carter

Harry Potter A-Z

A Saturday post I have been doing to spread the Harry Potter love and to take us all on a trip down memory lane :).

R is for Ravenclaw

I had to pick Ravenclaw for today's post. It's the house I was sorted into on Pottermore so it seemed fitting. Here's a little info about the Ravenclaw house from Harry Potter Wikia:

Ravenclaw is one of the four Houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, founded by Rowena Ravenclaw. Members of this house are characterised by their wit, learning, and wisdom. Its house colours are blue and bronze, and its symbol is the eagle. The house ghost, who in life was the daughter of the house's founder Rowena Ravenclaw, is the Grey Lady. Many great wizards and witches have come from this house, including Filius Flitwick, Garrick Ollivander and Luna Lovegood.

Ravenclaw roughly corresponds with the element of air.

  1. *hiss* Slytherin ftw :P
I love Ravenclaw as well, such an interesting house with so many geniuses together. :) I was hoping for it if I wasn't in Slytherin.
What I think would suit me most is Slytherclaw: a bit of both. :)
