'Reading a book is like re-writing it for yourself. You bring to a novel, anything you read, all your experience of the world. You bring your history and you read it in your own terms.'- Angela Carter

  11. I have heard good things about Blood Red Road. I read Westerfiled's Uglies series, and really didn't like it. I heard so many great things but really had to push myself to get through them. I disliked the main character a lot.

  13. The Constant Princess was one of my least-favorite Gregory novels, but to put that in perspective I've read nearly all her works and think she's an amazing writer. I hope you do end up enjoying that. I own Blood Red Road myself and plan on starting that soon. I haven't seen that cover for Pretties before, but that's an amazing series. Hope you have a great week of reading!
